Here at Major Fitness, we don't just sit around. We've been hard at work developing some of the best power racks and Smith machines around (especially for those on a budget!), and have recently developed a whole lineup of new accessories that snap into our ecosystem.

One of the highlights is the new Rack Mounted Leg Extension. A combo we want to talk about today, underrated in our opinion, is pairing this accessory with our best-selling Smith Machine, the Spirit B52.
An absolute best of a combo, let's talk about how you can get the best possible all-in-one machine for your home gym, and add this leg extension on to make it even better. Let's dive in.

A Revolutionary Combination

The Rack Mounted Leg Extension shows just how hard we work to innovate in the rack and home gym space. Designed to be compatible with all Major Fitness racks, there are attachment snaps (and locks) into any of our racks or smith machines, unlocking new ways to work your legs through the classic leg extension exercise (sitting).
Now why pair this with the Spirit B52 Smith Machine? Our Spirit B52 is top-of-the-line as far as Smith Machines go, and offers handy extendable combos (as it's modular), meaning you get nearly everything you'd possibly need for a home gym in one machine. Add a bench, lever arms, and even bumper plates! It has a robust build that pairs perfectly with the leg extension, creating a synergy that is worth trying.

A Beastly Superset

The Spirit B52, with its all-in-one design, allows for a variety of exercises, catering to almost every muscle group. When combined with the Rack Mounted Leg Extension, users gain the ability to execute a leg workout that rivals any commercial gym setup. This duo caters to both beginners and advanced athletes, ensuring progress and versatility in training routines.
To fully leverage this, consider incorporating supersets into your workout. Supersets are an effective way to increase workout intensity and efficiency, allowing for serious muscle growth. Here's an example of a leg-focused superset you can try:
  1. Smith Machine Squats: Start with squats on the Spirit B52 to target the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. Adjust the bar to a comfortable starting position, position yourself under the bar, and perform squats with proper form. Don't be a hero - start light and get the form right. Use a mirror!
  2. Leg Extensions: Immediately after your squats, move to the attached Rack Mounted Leg Extension for leg extensions. Sit straight, and work those legs up and down. This exercise isolates the quadriceps, providing focused tension and strengthening the muscles at the front of your thigh.
By alternating between these two exercises without resting in between, you can create a challenging leg workout that maximizes muscle engagement and endurance. Perform 3-4 sets of each exercise for a complete leg workout. Boom!
